Tarocco, Italian for tarot. An Italian tarot deck can contain 62, 64, or 78 cards, depending on version. The Tarocco Piemontese is the most common tarot deck type with 78 types, and other Piedmont influences have been seen on Regalo before.
Members of the Arcana Famiglia are specifically chosen to contract with tarocco or else are born with contracts. They are marked with stigmata and granted powers called Arcana.
- Major Arcana: cards 0-21. Exist by consuming the emotional strength of the host. But the cards that aren't contracted, or are without hosts, survive by receiving power from the host of the World Tarocco, Mondo.
- Minor Arcana: cards 22-78. Fall under the four divisions Swords, Wands/Batons, Cups, and Coins. Each suit has 14 cards, numbered 2-10, with a jack, knight, queen, king, and ace.
